Surgery - Thoracic Physician Assistant

Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Location: Yonkers, NY
Compensation: $150,000 $230,000 base salary
Schedule Options: Full-Time (12 shifts/month) or Part-Time (8 shifts/month)
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic PA or NP to join our dynamic team providing night coverage for a leading cardiothoracic surgery program in the Yonkers, NY area. The ideal candidate must have proven experience managing fresh post-operative cardiac patients and first-assist OR skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage fresh post-operative cardiothoracic surgical patients during night shifts.

• Perform bedside procedures as needed.

• Serve as first assist in the OR when necessary.

• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Respond promptly to emergencies, changes in patient status, and post-surgical complications.

• Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately and in a timely manner.

Schedule:

• Full-Time: 12-hour night shifts, shifts/month (3 shifts/week).

• Part-Time: 8 night shifts/month.

Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $150,000 $230,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• Current NY State PA or NP license (or eligibility to obtain).

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience required.

• Strong experience in managing fresh post-op cardiac patients.

• First assist OR experience required.

• ACLS and BLS certification required.

• Ability to work independently and manage high-acuity patients overnight.
