ATGC Transport and General Contracting L.L.C is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs related to high rise building projects, from calculations to final figures.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial & Contract Management
- Contract Administration: Manage Main Contract and Sub contract conditions (typically FIDIC or bespoke high rise forms).
- Variation Management: Identify, price, and negotiate variations resulting from design changes.
- Claims Mitigation: Proactively identify risks and prepare detailed commercial claims for extensions of time or additional costs.
- Procurement & Sub contractor Management
- Package Ownership: Oversee specialized high rise procurement packages such as Curtain Walling/Façade, Vertical Transportation (Elevators), and Specialist MEP systems.
- Negotiation: Conduct rigorous tender analysis and negotiate with subcontractors to ensure "back to back" agreement terms.
- Cost Control & Reporting
- CVR Preparation: Lead the monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Maintain accurate cash flow projections accounting for the unique "cycle time".
- Budgeting: Manage the project budget, ensuring high risk items stay within limits.
- Post Contract Duties
- Valuations: Oversee interim valuations and progress payments based on verified site measurements.
- Final Accounts: Lead the settlement of final accounts with client and subcontractors.
- Experience: 8-12+ years in Quantity Surveying with at least 2-3 completed High Rise (30+ stories) projects.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in NRM2, SMM7, or CESMM measurement standards.
- Software: Proficiency in CostX, Candy (CCS), or Bluebeam for on screen takeoffs.
- Professional Body: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent highly preferred.
