The Bosk at Breamish Valley Cottages is a small family run restaurant, weddings and events space, catering for our onsite holiday makers, spa guests and local customers. Set in an idyllic part of Northumberland with a fantastic small team, we can offer an amazing working environment for the right candidate.
Located approx 8 miles from Wooler and 11 miles from Alnwick, own transport will therefore be required.
Job description
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef to join our team at The Bosk. The Bosk is an exciting establishment providing evening meals, events, and accommodation all year round. We currently operate 4 evening services a week Wed-Sat and a Sunday Lunch Menu alongside morning breakfasts for our onsite guests.
Chef responsibilities include, helping our head chef to develop new menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to work on your own and as part of a team. Also, you should be familiar with current health & safety regulations. If you are a motivated and ambitious individual who would like to be involved in an exciting new venture, we would love to meet you.
This will be a full-time position. Salary dependent upon experience.
Responsibilities
Set up the kitchen and operate on a daily basis.
Assist the head chef in creating and maintaining cooking and cleaning regimes for all areas of the kitchen.
Ensure that adequate food stock controls are in place in absence of the head chef
Ensure food handling, cleanliness, health, safety, risk assessments and all procedures within food preparation areas operate to the highest possible standard
Be able to cook breakfast for our 6 onsite guests
Promote and ensure the good reputation of The Bosk
All other duties dependant on the needs of the establishment
Kitchen experience needed but full training will be given.
Access to transport is essential due to the location of The Bosk
Requirements
Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
Excellent time management abilities
Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
Must have driving license
Work remotely
